L+R Brooklyn hosts open studio for NYCxDESIGN Design Week 2026
L+R is participating in NYCxDESIGN as part of Dumbo Design Day. We are opening the studio for the afternoon, inviting clients, collaborators, neighbors, and the broader design community in to see how we work and some of the latest applications of emerging technology.
NYCxDESIGN is the nonprofit behind New York’s official Design Week, the annual citywide celebration that unites and amplifies the city’s design community. It positions New York as a global capital where design culture and industry meet, spanning architecture, landscape, product, technology, and entertainment. Dumbo Design Day is the neighborhood’s contribution: a full day of open studios, tours, panels, and a closing festival.
We are opening the studio doors. Come meet our team, see our space, demo new and emerging technologies and devices, ask hard questions, and see what we are building on top of them.
L+R was founded in Dumbo in 2012 and still has its global HQ in the neighborhood today. Opening the studio during Design Week is, in part, a way of saying thank you to the place that’s been our home for over a decade.
We will also be hosting a Meridian Meetup (followmeridian.com) during the open studio. It’s our recurring gathering for builders, designers, and operators working in emerging tech. If you have been to one before, you know the format. If you have not, this is a good first one.

- Where: 20 Jay Street, Suite 924, Dumbo, Brooklyn
Dumbo was named a Design District in 2025. Dozens of studios across the neighborhood are opening their doors the same afternoon, including BIG, Snøhetta, Pensa, Peterson Rich Office, Post Company, and Studio Delson. Plan a loop. End the night at the festival closing party at Superfine, 6 to 9 PM.
