Background

A Bluetooth device needs a clear product experience

Droplette's patented Bluetooth-enabled device creates an enhanced mist designed to deliver skincare ingredients through a precise hardware experience. For users, the technology needed to feel premium, understandable, and easy to operate; for the business, the product needed app, commerce, subscription, Bluetooth pairing, and support systems that could grow with the device.

Challenge

Make advanced hardware approachable

The UX challenge was translating an unfamiliar product behavior into simple, trustworthy interactions. Onboarding, Bluetooth pairing, device education, product selection, replenishment, subscriptions, and customer support all had to explain the value of the device without overwhelming the user with the science underneath it.

Solution

Companion app UX/UI, Bluetooth pairing, subscriptions, and product support

L+R designed and built the iOS companion experience around the moments that matter for a connected consumer product: setup, Bluetooth pairing, use, replenishment, subscription management, and ongoing product confidence. The team worked alongside backend and firmware partners so the app experience, device behavior, ecommerce layer, and support model could move together.

The app experience made the product easier to understand, manage, pair, and return to.
Impact

A clearer path from device innovation to daily use

The result was a more complete product system around Droplette's Bluetooth-connected device. The companion app and backend workflows helped turn a novel skincare technology into something users could pair, understand, subscribe to, and use repeatedly.

The bottom line

Droplette shows how UX/UI design turns connected hardware into a product people can trust. The work sits between interface design, Bluetooth pairing, backend coordination, device behavior, support workflows, and production realities.
